Drawing by Laurie Chetwood

On the weekend of the 8th and 9th October 100 of the country's leading architects turned their talents to charity. In a unique event London's 'Square Mile' was divided into a 10 x 10 grid, then participants including famous names such as Norman Foster, Ted Cullinan and Kevin McCloud, were asked to draw their favourite view from within their allocated square.

The results are spectacularly diverse, ranging from drawings of famous landmarks like St. Paul's and the Gerkin, to less celebrated, but no less familiar London scenes, including a scaffolding site and a side street.

The 10 x 10 project will form a unique 'snapshot' of the city, taken from 100 different perspectives. Each of the drawings will be auctioned on 1 December at the German Gymnasium, Kings Cross. The proceeds will go to Article 25 - a charity that designs, builds and manages projects to provide better shelter for disaster and poverty stricken areas throughout the world.

Other architects that contributed to the project included Nathan Coley, Ian Bogel, Norman Ackroyd, Ben Kilburn, Henning Stummel, Laurie Chetwood, Mark Major, Tim Stoner and Piers Gough.
