Staff at Boyes Rees Architects in Cardiff have put away their razors and are sporting moustaches all in the name of Movember.
The campaign sees thousands of men across the country sprout moustaches for the whole of November to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.
The design-conscious crew of architects and technicians have tried to incorporate as many of the recognised Movember styles as possible, including the Trucker, the Chevron and the Gringo, with three of the team sporting the most popular style – the Zappa.
Dominic Bate, financial controller at Boyes Rees, based on Greyfrairs Road said: “It’s not a return to the 1980s but a way to spread the word about men’s health issues.
“The office is getting a good giggle from seeing the weekly progress photos that we email around to all staff, but they are also supporting us and sharing an interest in the Movember cause.’’
Last year, across the world, more than 447,000 Mo Bros got on board, raising more than £48.6 million.
To date, Movember has raised more than £108.5 million for the fight against prostate cancer and depression in men. |
