International architects, Aedas, recently celebrated the relocation of their Birmingham offices to one of the city’s highest profile office schemes.
Colmore Plaza, designed by the team in 2005, has become the new Midlands headquarters and also acts as a central meeting hub for the company’s regional offices. This was also the location of a launch party, hosted by UK Chairman Brian Johnson, attended by more than 200 industry clients, partners, service providers and friends.
The event also served to introduce newly appointed Divisional Director, Marcus Wilkins who will serve as a national design champion for the Midlands. This was a strategic selection for the practice as it continues to promote the highest design standards for clients within the Midlands region and abroad and will ensure design quality and consistency within Aedas’ growing portfolio. Marcus is eminently well suited to this role, having completed award-winning designs across Europe and Asia.
Guests were complimentary of the ‘light and airy’ office environment commenting that Colmore Plaza provided an ‘excellent working atmosphere’ with ‘wonderful space and radiance’.
James Handley, Aedas International Director, welcomed guests and stated:“We have established long, respectful working relationships with many people present here and wish to continue being considered as solution finders for the construction industry, responsible for generating a wealth creation culture.”
Company Chairman, Brian Johnson followed by stating:“Architects are positive by nature. Aedas wish to contribute toward the success of the industry so it can flourish. We may be a global practice but we have local experience and regional heritage, which is great for Birmingham.” |
